We believe your workout should be fun, uplifting and motivating. We also believe that for any workout to be effective in the long run,  it needs to be, well….. sort of addictive too. In a good way of course. 


Our one-of-a kind GrooveCycle classes are the ultimate experience! 

You’ll be dancing…. Yes, we dance on our bikes😉….. climbing, sprinting, jumping, while the music leads your feet. Our hand-picked playlists feature a mix of Caribbean, African, R&B, modern day Pop, heck... we even throw in some Oldie-Goldies every now and then. Let the music take over, uplift you, motivate you, inspire you and “Groove Cycle” your way to a better you!

 Working out in a group is not only more fun, it sure is motivating! You'll be working out at different exercise stations, focusing on several muscle groups per class.


Although we will challenge you, everyone can work at their own level. We are all here on our own journey: some join to get strong, some to stay or get healthy and others, well....they call it their therapy! 


Your only competition is the person in the mirror and the person you were yesterday. Let us help you reach your personal goals, whatever they may be!

First time GrooveCyclers

OMG! Did I just sign up? Now what?

Your first time on the bike might seem a little intimidating, but don't worry. Before you know it your certified instructor has helped you set up your bike, your Tribe has made you feel welcome and as soon as the lights switch off, you'll be taken to another dimension. Let it all go...feel the music, absorb the vibes, try your best, but most importantly have fun! 

What to wear?

You'll be sweating it out in our GrooveCycling classes, so we suggest you put on some comfortable, light gym wear and sneakers with a sturdy sole. Although we recommend riding with clip-shoes (they really help getting the most out of your workout!), it is really not necessary. And neither is wearing those non-flattering padded bike shorts, as special seat cushions cost a lot less and do the job just fine.

Oh and bring water....lots of it!!

What if I can't keep up?

You are 100% in charge of the resistance knob on your bike… and you can fake turning it up! ( Yes, I said it!) One of the best indoor cycling secrets is that you can work as hard or as easy as you want, and no one is the wiser! You will absolutely be inspired to do more than you would on your own, but it's a safe environment where you can determine each ride what intensity is best for you. And if the jumping, sprinting and dancing gets too much....just keep peddling. We all started exactly where you are now!

So what about GrooveFitness?

In our GrooveFitness classes you'll be signing up to "work that body"!

We'll be working with weights, resistance bands, barbells and dumbells. Music will be an integral part of our classes, because it can uplift, motivate or simply distract your mind and let your muscles do the work. And yes, you will be sore, there will be days that you hate your instructor, but in the end you also know it was all so worth it!

The amazing Mind-Body Connection

 

Being present in your workout allows you to become fully aware of your body and drives each movement with purpose. Not only that, it also stimulates your brain cells as you envision the muscle contract and relax with each rep. Focusing inward and on every movement can help decrease stress by turning your workout into a meditation by itself.

 

Reaping the benefits of the mind-body connection happens even BEFORE you step foot in the gym. Visualizing that you are going all out during your work out— imagining yourself performing each set at your best performance— will allow you to go harder, stronger and longer once you get into the gym.

It has also been shown that positive statements and thoughts regarding your abilities and your workout will improve your overall performance.

What you think, you become!

If you go into your workout with a negative attitude about yourself and your abilities, your body will follow suit.

So instead of just going through your next workout in an automated fashion, bring more awareness to what you are doing and to the ‘here and now’.
